An Atlanta woman who initially told police she shot and killed a man who tried to rob her early Saturday morning has admitted to police she lied to cover for her boyfriend.Chevis Ard, who lives at the home on Holly Drive in northwest Atlanta, now says her boyfriend, Kevin Dingman, shot the alleged robber in self-defense after he approached them around 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning, Atlanta police said Sunday. Police found the deceased man in the front yard of their home.Police said Ard had a weapon when they responded to her 911 call. They also found a handgun and three loaded magazines on the man killed by Dingman.
