Ex-Atlanta police officer indicted on home invasion charges
A former Atlanta police officer was indicted Thursday on charges related to a home invasion in Henry County. Phillip Barresi of Jonesboro also faces a criminal damage charge because he allegedly kicked down the door to a home in Locust Grove where his ex-fiancée was staying with her sister and parents last year. The rookie officer was sworn in March 17, 2016, and resigned May 8, Atlanta police said.
