10-year-old boy critically injured in Atlanta shooting
For the second time this week, a 10-year-old boy has been shot in Atlanta. The boy was inside a southeast Atlanta apartment with his parents and four other adults when he was shot in the stomach about 12:15 a.m. Thursday, according to Channel 2 Action News. Investigators are not sure if the shooting was intentional. The shooter ran away from the Confederate Court apartment shortly after the incident, Atlanta police told Channel 2. Atlanta police are searching for a teenager who has been missing since the beginning of the month. Police say Nya Slaughter, 14, left her home in the East Lake area July 1 and hasn’t returned home. An alarm at Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q went off just after 4 a.m. When officers got to 1238 Dekalb Ave., they found the front door of the restaurant open.
